Ramblings

...about the picture at the top of this page that is part of the overall "Cleanstyle Black and White" theme I'm currently using. It's a city scene, of course, but what city? The bus gives a clue, so I Googled "504 Dundas West Station via King" and found out it's a bus route in Toronto, Canada! Cool! That would not have occurred to me; I thought it was an American city. Well, I'm glad I know now!

Tomorrow is DH's birthday, but we will be celebrating it a day early, as he has to work tomorrow. As I mentioned recently, he is stuck in the '60s, so we're going with that theme today. DD is making him a tie-dyed "hippie" birthday cake, served with Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia ice cream, of course. I bought him a Janis Joplin psychedelic t-shirt (for the man who has everything?), so I'm sure he'll enjoy this homage to his favorite era.

In the technologically-challenged area, I thought I set up LoudTwitter to send my daily tweets to my IJ, and they didn’t show up last night. I checked everything thoroughly and couldn’t figure out where I’d made an error, until it finally occurred to me that I’d changed my Twitter user name and forgot to change it on LoudTwitter. Hopefully today I have it right!

Time to get some breakfast...

Okay, I'm getting tired of my journals elsewhere on the web, as well as my offline electronic journal. Since I don't know where I want to be, I'll just light here for awhile. I'm a bit discouraged because so many who have interests in common with me haven't posted in a year or more, but perhaps with some ferreting I'll find some kindred spirits, or at least interesting active fellow IJers. I'll start posting soon.
